Sub: Permission for admission to B.Ed. Course through Distance Education.

In reference to his Memo. No. 2379-GA/4G-864/85 dated 12-12-08 on the above noted
subject, the undersigned is directed to say that only the B.Ed. Courses approved by NCTE and
taught under any UGC approved Universities, which are also affiliated to National Distance
Education Council, may be studied by the teachers working in any Secondary Schools (s) run
under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education/West Bengal Council of High Secondary
Education.
Therefore, in the instant case as the B.Ed. Course of IGNOU is approved by NCTE, the
incumbent may be allowed to study such course.
